I really don't like unwanted email in my inbox--can you relate? Because of this, I want to go out of my way to exceed your expectations when it comes to receiving group email.
Specifically, since I've not heard from you in a while, I want to give you the opportunity to opt out of this newsletter if you'd like--think of it as a Christmas present by way of subtraction.
Rather than continue to send you email that you may not wish to receive, I'd prefer to actively solicit your support and engagement in our work. If that's not something you feel you're able to give at this time, let me give you this opportunity to wish us well and remove your name from our email list.
At some point or other you’ve given me your email, or asked me to sign you up to receive communications from me and my family about our new church planting work.
But because time, circumstances, and distance may have changed things, I want to make sure you really want the important information we’re sending out, especially now that we are entering the critical pre-launching phase of the new church.
May we continue sharing what God is doing in and through our lives with you?
May we continue to ask for your prayer and financial support?
May we continue to keep you involved in the "virtual arm" of this ministry?
If you're still "with me," I don’t want you to miss out on the latest happenings of the Henry family and the exciting developments of our new church.
At the same time, I see the names on this list as people who are part, in some form or another, of a "virtual congregation" of supporters, fans, family members, and advocates of the work God has called me to in New Jersey. If this doesn't describe you at this time, I trust there are other ways you can give your time, talents, and treasure to honor God and bless others.

If I haven't heard from you by next Monday, I will remove you from our subscription lists completely. There will be no hard feelings.
But, if you do decide to stay with us, I know you’ll continue to be inspired and encouraged by the work of God through me and Polly and our children.
