Gallery Artists

  • Current Artists: Kay Basiago, Deborah Ballog, Elenor Conn, Beverly Corbitt, Sam Cornman, Karen Dixon, Toni Palmer

  • New Artists
We have two new artists in the Gallery, John Evon and Robert Gross.  John was one of our first fusing students at the old studio downtown.  He's come a long way very quickly. He has a unique design style that merges a great mix of color with his sense of scale and proportion.

Robert Gross brings optical crystal to our Gallery for the first time.  His work is beautiful and must be seen in person to appreciate the angles of reflection in his artwork.  Bob also does woven fused glass pieces using a wide range of colors.

NEXT GALLERY OPENING:
Friday July 9, 2010
5:00pm to 8:00pm
Featuring artists Kay Basiago and Robert Gross

A very big thank you to everyone who stopped by during our grand re-opening event.  We had a great turnout, lots of good food (Thanks to Ellen Gillespie and her family and Carol and Doris Ballog), beverages and glass fun.
Congratulations to all our prize winners.  Carrie Arn was the winner of the grand prize.  It consisted of 8 pieces of 10x10 Bullseye glass and 4 packs of stringers.  Here she is making her pieces from the Bullseye reactive make-it glass pack.

New Summer Classes
We have several new classes beginning this summer.  Click here for more info.

  • Paperweights - 3 hour class for beginners, $75
  • Mosaic stepping stones - 2 day class for beginners, $95
  • Cold working - 2 hour class, $50
  • Kiln Casting - 2 day class, $250
We are pleased to announce that art photographer, Hank Seigel, will be teaching classes on photographing your glass art work.  The class is a 3 hour hands on class, $60, using your own camera and glass.  If you do not have any pieces to bring in with you, we can probably find one or two pieces around here for you to practice on.  Scheduled dates are June 5, 12, and 19 from 10am to 1pm.

What's a vitrigraph?

We are offering a short demo/class using the vitrigraph.  What exactly is a vitrigraph?  It is a kiln on a high shelf with a hole in the bottom where molton glass streams out.  It's lot's of hot fun and you can make all kinds of curly, swirly glass to add to your fused glass pieces.  You get to take your work home with you.  Click here for scheduled times.

We've added a student lounge area to our studio.  After working hard to create your masterpiece it's always nice to sit by the pool with a cold drink and personal fan!
