Frosty Mornings, balmy calm days...
We are in full swing pruning in the vineyard. As you can imagine, hand-pruning 30,000 odd vines takes time. However, it's a rewarding job knowing you are setting the vines up well for another season of quality fruit.
The olives were harvested and pressed last week - always an exciting time. See photo at bottom of newsletter.
 Gold for 2009 Pinot Gris
The 2009 Pinot Gris has proven to be quite a hit. It was awarded Gold at the Royal Easter Show, and selected by Air New Zealand to be on their Business Class Wine List.
It has been so popular that we can only offer it for sale as part of the "Terrace Edge Selection". This is a mixed case that includes 3 of each of 08_Pinot Noir, 08 Syrah, 08 Riesling and 09 Pinot Gris. The "Terrace Edge Selection" is available through our website and priced at $210 (a 20% saving).
Trade Show
On Wednesday our wines were very well received at the Katrina Gordon Trade Show in Christchurch. Those people who signed up to the newsletter at that event went into a draw to win 2 bottles of wine. Congratulations to the winner, Rex Quigley who will be enjoying a bottle of Riesling and Syrah this weekend!
