Hi <<First Name>>, Are you familiar with speed dating? It's a phenomenon that swept the country a couple of years ago and is an interesting approach to dating. Today I experienced it at a business conference. We weren't dating, but using that format as a networking tool. We had three minutes to introduce ourselves and describe our business to the person sitting across from us. That's not much time. It was an interesting challenge to communicate the essentials of both our company and my work. I'm a storyteller so I love to spin things out, but I also realize the value of concise communication. What if someone asked me to explain the essentials of my faith in three minutes or less? Could I do that in a meaningful concise way? Or would my words get in the way? Just as I know the tasks that fill my days, I know the ways my faith is worked out in my life. I can give a speed dating version of our company; it requires focusing on the big picture. If I apply that concept to my faith, I think I can come up with a speed dating explanation. It may sound strange, but sometimes that's all the time we have to share Jesus Christ with another person. I want to be prepared. So grab your timer and start practicing. Not to minimize the Gospel but to distill it to its very essence, it might begin like this: God so loved the world…

Dan Brown, who wrote the two books on which the movies are based, painted the Opus Dei as a secretive, power-hungry and extreme sect of the Catholic church. There Be Dragons, planned for a theatrical release in 2011, is not a rebuttal to the previous two films, but a story about the beginning of the Opus Josemaria Escriva, the founder of Opus Dei.
