Inside this issue... A Season of Thanks Hi <<First Name>>, When was the last time you said a genuine thanks from the heart? Not just a casual "thank you," but a well-considered statement of gratitude? This time of year I'm reminded to be more thoughtful and conscious of living gratefully. Today I'm grateful for the beautiful tree outside our office that reminds me of God's amazing creativity. In the middle of other trees and bushes that are still green, its leaves are bright red and orange, and a picture of it now decorates my desktop. I'm also grateful for a fun place to work and entertaining people to work with. They're not just co-workers, they're friends, and we have a great time together. This month I'm going to share some of the things our staff is thankful for. I encourage you to make your own gratitude list. I think you'll be happier and find the days brighter. With gratitude, Angela Walker ChristianMovieNews.com Industry Interview Christians in Cinema: Jefferson Moore and Christina Dawn Fougnie by Angela Walker Jefferson Moore's first film The Perfect Stranger was an adaptation of a book called Dinner with a Perfect Stranger, by David Gregory. It was so well received that he made a sequel called Another Perfect Stranger. This year he wraps up the trilogy with a Christmas-themed film called The Perfect Gift. His co-star in this film is Christina Dawn Fougnie, who also co-starred in Clancy with him. Christina, how did you prepare for your role in the film? Christina: I just had to be Clancy and not Christina. I studied my script to get into the character and what she would do. She was really humble and she never thought of herself. She was this great Christian and always went to God for everything. Like so many other Jefferson Moore movies, this one is truly enjoyable for the entire family. Max is a young girl who just happens to have a birthday on the same day that Jesus was born, but she does not like it. She also is not happy that her school assignment is to write about Christmas. As Jes helps Max with her essay, he also helps the community, her mother and the assistant minister see how important God's perfect gift to us was, the gift of love. It also takes a look at what is happening in the world today at this very special holiday season. That Christmas is a time for kindness and love, not gifts and shopping. And that people need to stand up for what they believe in and not let others that do not believe bully us in hiding the real reason we celebrate Christmas. We are proud to award The Perfect Gift the Dove "Family-Approved" Seal for all ages. Films for the Harvest Whether it's a physical or spiritual harvest, the harvest is ripe and laborers are few. ""The One Lamb" is a very good movie. It has excellent production value and looks very professional. It has a very clear gospel message in the movie. Unfortunately, it has some swearing in it. You don't hear the swears but can see them mouth the words. Probably not a movie to watch with kids under 12 years old. Overall, I recommend it since it has a strong gospel message. I would have given it 5 stars if not for the language. " [Edited for length] [ Read more... ]
