How often do you recognize God in everyday blessings? Yesterday a friend told me she looks for God's goodness in the little things all day long to keep her mind focused on Him. That's something that's very simple yet easy to forget. So this morning I thought I'd give it a try.

Last week I left a pedometer in my seat on an airplane. When I told the gate attendant for my next flight, she contacted the plane I was on. They found my pedometer and a baggage handler ran back to the other gate to get it.

Friday night I went out with a friend and one of my tires went flat. Not only did a security guard stop and help me change the tire, but also the next day the dealership replaced the tire free of charge.

Many times God touches us through other people on a daily basis. When we stop and think about that, how can we not see His hand at work in our lives? It doesn't change my circumstances, but it certainly makes me more joyful in them.

Jerry Jenkins began his career as a writer before he could drive. In high school, he was the sportswriter for a local newspaper, and his parents drove him to games. After school he wrote for several daily papers before going to work for Moody Press Magazine in 1974. He worked about 30 years for Moody Bible Institute before leaving in 1990  to work full-time as a freelance writer.

Midnight Clear (2007) - DVD

Dove Review:
This is pretty good story-telling as several characters' lives intermingle and small miracles, if there are "small" miracles, occur. Some characters help others out; for example, a gas station attendant helps a woman with a broken down car, some teens sing Christmas carols to shut-ins, and a character changes and becomes a giving person. He donates a meal to feed the hungry people who were stranded at a gas station with car problems. In a nice scene a pastor tells his youth minister that sometimes you do the right thing because it is right, not because you will necessarily see a result.
