Did you know that you can check out audiobooks for your iPod from RFPL? There are 2 ways to check out an iTunes audiobook from the library. Visit our website to see the lists of available titles here, or you can also check out the library of audiobooks available from Media on Demand, many of which are available for download from home.



TeensTeen Winter Reading Challenge
Teens, participate in our winter reading challenge! Complete the challenge and you'll receive a book of your choice, a ticket to the Winter Reading Bash on 2/19, and be entered in a raffle to win prizes. Open to RF resident teens in grades 6 and up. Visit the 2nd floor Reference desk for details or to get your challenge sheet.

Programs for Adults

Audubon's Birds of America
This Sunday, February 7th at 2 p.m., local author Marcy Kubat will present Audubon's Passion: From Beau Brummell to Eagle Scout. Audubon's life and art will come alive in this informative lecture.

Just in time for Valentine's Day, drop by on February 11th at 7:00 p.m. for Cozy Crafting with Margaret and Blaise. Make handmade soaps, gift tags and boxes for your sweetheart. All materials will be provided, including hot chocolate and cookies!

RosenstrasseIf you enjoy foreign films, stop by the library on Sunday, February 21st for a Screening of Rosenstrasse at 2:00 p.m. Local foreign film enthusiast Joe May will lead a discussion following the film.

Planning for retirement? On Monday, February 22nd at 7:00 p.m., local Financial Educator Jim Flanagan will present 2010: The New Retirement Reality. Mr. Flanagan will address such questions as the safety of our finances, how healthcare costs effect retirement, and how to survive in volatile markets.

Donuts for Dads continues through March 13th
Donuts for Dads is held at the library on Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Stop in for games, books, crafts, breakfast treats, conversation, and Blue Max coffee.

Stop by for Family Gaming Day on Saturday, 2/20 at 2:00 p.m. We'll have board and video games for gamers of all ages.

Programs for Teens

Manga GirlTeen Comics Club will be held on Friday, February 12th. Comics Club for Middle Schoolers runs from 5:30-7:00 p.m., and for High Schoolers from 7:00-8:00 p.m.

If you complete the Winter Reading Challenge by 2/18, you'll get a ticket to the Winter Reading Bash on Friday, 2/19 from 5:30-9:00 p.m.! We'll have gaming, movies, snacks and more after hours at the library.

Finally, stop by on your day off on February 26 for Open Gaming from 1-3 p.m. We'll have board and video games for teens in grades 6 and up.
