Welcome to the new-look ARKive newsletter, we hope this improved layout will enable you to view ARKive's latest news as clearly as possible. This month we celebrate Wildscreen’s partnership with the Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition by showcasing previous winning photographers and their contributions to ARKive. The 2009 Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition sees ARKive supporting the Gerald Durrell Award for Endangered Wildlife, a category championed in the past by many of ARKive's contributors. The closing date for entries is Friday 27th March, so why not sort out those winning shots and enter the competition today. All of the photographers showcased below have also contributed to Wildscreen's WildPhotos symposium - an internationally-acclaimed two-day event exploring the power of nature photography. Dates for WildPhotos 2009 have just been released - October 23rd and 24th - along with details of this year's keynote presentation by Michael 'Nick' Nichols. See www.wildphotos.org.uk for more details and to register for the WildPhotos e-newsletter. | | Harriet Nimmo Wildscreen Chief Executive | Richard Edwards ARKive Director | ARKive’s support for the Gerald Durrell Award for Endangered Species To celebrate ARKive's support of the Gerald Durrell Award for Endangered Wildlife at the 2009 Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, the ARKive team has created a collection of images by ten prize-winning photographers who regularly contribute to ARKive and who have also spoken at Wildscreen's WildPhotos nature photography symposium.
