<<First Name>>, we want to help you promote your music for free!
Here at SoundOps, we master audio - of course. But we know nowadays, you need more than just a polished recording to get noticed out there. That's why this month, our own Web Team is ready to help you spread the word about your band or project. Let's face it, there isn't much time between practice, and gigs, and full-time jobs...and you still need more promo - more online promo!
Now, in order for us to start a buzz for you, we need something for people to talk about - some fresh content. So, this is what we had in mind...
It's no surprise, audiences are interested in what happens off-stage. And, nothing feels quite as intimate and exclusive as a look at an artist in the studio. Let us help you share your personal studio experience. You can tell the story, and we'll pump it into the blogosphere for you.
For indie musicians and producers, this kind of content has a special effect - not because it's on the Internet - because it's YOU when you aren't performing. It's a great way to engage your listeners; it makes it easier for them to relate to you and connect to your music. For example: a short, unscripted video (captured with a phone maybe) of your band practicing your songs in the van while on the way to record may seem ordinary to you guys, but your fans and fans-to-be will dig it. Not to mention, you'll probably have fun too :) This is how it will work...
For the rest of this month, everyone at SoundOps.com will be checking their inboxes for stories submitted by our faithful readers. Then, our studio gnomes will turn them all into snazzy little articles (optimized for search engines, and humans of course) and post them on our blog one at a time through the holidays. After each article is published, we'll let you know, and share the link with all our friends too. So, what exactly do you need to do to get your piece of the free-promo pie? Follow these 3 simple steps...
< 1 >
TELL YOUR STORY
Write it all down, record an audio interview, or make a video that shares your most recent studio experience (recording, mixing, and/or mastering). It doesn't need to be fancy - just think about what would be interesting to your listeners...
< 2 >
SEND IT TO US
Attach your studio story to an email and send it to studio@soundops.com. Make the subject of your message, "PROMOTE MY MUSIC". *If you have a large video, contact us first, and we'll set up a file transfer account for you instead. Make sure to tell us which URLs you want people to visit. Also, feel free to include your logo, pictures, mp3s, etc. for us to use in your post.

MEET YOUR NEW FANS
We'll give you your own post on our blog, complete with links to your website(s), stores, music, etc. We'll also include a ittle blurb about how awesome you are, and why we think our fans should be your fans. Plus, we will even feature our favorite story on YouTube. That means more traffic, more buzz, and hopefully more money for you and your band!
By the way...
You should know, at SoundOps, we take the work we do very seriously. That's why we have so many gnomes working in the studio. They are usually responsible, and surprisingly efficient for their size. One of their jobs is to know your name and basic artist information. This helps us make sure we send you relevant stuff in a personal way. Here's what they currently have stored for you in their little database: (It's easy to update your profile if something is missing or incorrect.)
