Certifiy to Inspire

Newsletter #2, February 2010

Greetings from Gothenburg
During last year's Agile Open Space in Antwerp, it became apparent once again that the Swedes know how to make agile practical. Per-Magnus Skoogh (mPeira) announced a workshop in Gothenburg, Sweden about an agile training program. This caught our attention so we asked Laurens Bonnema (Atos Origin) to attend that workshop and get connected. The workshop took place on 20 & 21 January 2010.

mPeira is developing a two-track agile training program. One track comprises agile management, the other agile execution. Each track will take you about 12 days to complete. Right now the trainig program is still under development, but it looks promising. The Agile Consortium would like to see a training like this become available for many organizations who seek to expand and strenghten their agile way of working. We'd like to keep involved to be able to guarantee high quality and consistent delivery and openness to the market. The training program may be well suited to prepare for the Agile Consortium Agile Certificates.

The Agile Consortium is currently taking action in finding a decent model for combining training and certification. Apart from that, a strong statement for certification is needed to express its value for both individuals and organizations.

Call for participation: Our certification team has several products, sketches and models available for review. We need you to validate our results and to help us improve so we can truly be innovative with our certification program. Who else than you could do a better job? Contact us at certificering@agileconsortium.nl

APL Practitioner certificate
On 1 and 2 March 2010 four people from our certification team will be forming a Dutch team of examiners for the APL Practitioner exam. They will be professionaly guided by Dorothy Tudor and Steve Messenger from the DSDM Consortium UK. Six candidates from different companies in both The Netherlands and Belgium will stand ready to take the exam from the team. They will be the first to receive a certificate from the Agile Consortium, provided they pass of course.

Call for participation: Do you want to be a Certificed Agile Practitioner and do you know others who do? The certificate will be officially released soon after 2 March. Let us know if you are interested or wish to receive additional information by sending an e-mail to certificering@agileconsortium.nl

Agile Master Certificate
The upcoming APL Practitioner Certificate exams will give our team of examiners some extra practical experience with taking exams on the subject of agility. They will be quite occupied with preparing and taking exams so it is time to expand our certification team with enthusiastic people who wish to take agile certification to the next level with the Agile Master Certificate.

Call for participation: Join our certification team! We are lookig for expert agilists who are able to upgrade our existing content. We also need some people to spread the news about the certificates by means of newsletters, blogs, articles and word of mouth. We need agile leaders to help us maintain high quality standards and create effects on a global scale. Contact us at certificering@agileconsortium.nl if you are up to that!

We'll keep you posted.
With kind regards,

The Agile Consortium Certification Team
