Center for the Psychology of Women
Voices From Your Community

Hi <<First Name>>,

We continually strive to find media outlets which are reporting on topics pertinent to women, and offer our own thoughts and advice.

This month, Center therapist Gabrielle Forman spoke to Edge Magazine about the presence of bi-sexual characters in the media, specifically the abundance of bisexual women who end up in committed relationships with men, and the lack of bi male characters. I, for one, can't think of any since Carrie Bradshaw dated a bi-sexual guy played by Eddie Cahill on Sex and the City. It was a short-lived romance, only one episode long. Brief, even by Carrie's standards.

Spicing things up, our resident pregnancy expert Patricia O'Laughlin talked about how to keep sex fun while trying to conceive in an article for Pregnancy and Baby. She gives important communication techniques, and brings this under-represented women's issue some much needed attention!

Thanks for reading, and let us know about other topics you would like to see us discuss.

Yours Truly,

Jessica LeRoy  { clinical director, ma, mft }
