 Hurrah, it’s World Book Day which is a huge celebration of books and reading and therefore one of my favourite days. Truthfully, I’m dead keen on any sort of celebrations: birthdays, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s, St Patricks. I’m ga ga at Christmas. Next to celebrations the thing I like is a bargain so I’m particularly excited that this World Book Day combines two of my favourite loves.
The peeps who sort out World Book Day have partnered with News International and created a Buy One Give One Free campaign. Free! I’m so excited that I wanted to tell all my lovely, loyal fans and friends about it. With just one voucher from The Times, The Sunday Times, The Sun or News of the World, available daily in papers from Thursday 4th March until Sunday 7th March, readers will be able to go to any WH Smith, Waterstones or local independent bookshops, buy any paperback under a tenner, and get a second free. The cheapest book will be free, and the idea is that shoppers will choose one book for themselves and a second to give away to charity, or to family or a friend. Let’s get everyone reading!
There’s always a bit of small print, in this case the offer excludes reference, travel, academic and children's books but that’s OK, you can spoil yourselves with some lovely fiction. Go on, get lost in a book.

 Spring is in the air and I can finally venture outside without my thermals on! I've got a couple of events lined up for April so if you are in the area then why not pop along and listen to me chat about books and my writing life.
