Another week, another week to purge more stuff!

Putting your belongings up for sale — This Week's Tip
Our first week we set goals and in our second week we itemized everything we own. This week, we will start putting our things up for sale. I recommend choosing a few platforms to help you sell your stuff. For me, it's important to get rid of things as easily as possible. This means minimizing the number of labels I have to print out and the number of checks that have to clear. For getting rid of most things, I find the Craigslist is perfectly suitable. It's remarkable what some people need.
If you are getting rid of a lot of books, keep in mind that Half.com and Amazon.com are perfect for selling them. You will quickly learn, though, that not many people buy used books online. In many cases, you might just be better off donating your books.
That being said, keep track of when you put things up for sale. If things have been on sale for more than a month, it's time to donate them or give them away. It can be a crushing realization that your stuff isn't worth as much as you thought it was. If you start today, plan on having gotten rid of a lot of your stuff by October 13.
Next week, we'll talk about buying smartly.
