Why Wouldn't You?
Headhunters is offering this guided trip special at unheard of rates.  The way this winter is shaping up, we believe late March and April may provide some excellent fishing opportunities.  Join us for a few days of guided fly fishing on the Missouri.  It's an easy affordable way for you and your group to put together a great spring trip to Montana.

What to Expect
April is a transitional month on the Missouri.  The quality of the fishing can vary from year to year.  When it's good, it can offer some excellent early season fishing.

Nymph fishing is the rule during late March and April, but we do have strong midge hatches that can bring the fish to the surface with the right weather.  Expect to be fishing a nymph rig from the boat for much of the time.

Our first hatches of the year occur during April.  Blue-winged Olive and a sparse Skwala hatch may provide some good dry fly fishing in the afternoons, but should not be counted on.

Streamer fishing can be excellent.  Lots of big Browns are landed during this period, and many anglers choose to stick with the streamer throughout the day.

Weather

April will show you everything Montana has to offer when it comes to weather.  Temperatures can range from 30-70 degrees.  Precipitation should be expected.

Crowds
What crowds?  There will be some local Montana traffic on the rivers, but for the most part you'll feel like you and you buddies own the place.
