While it’s easy for parents to get caught up in making sure their children have the coolest binders, backpacks and school supplies, one thing that should never get left off your back-to- school checklist is an eye exam for your children!

Eye exams provide one of the simplest ways to catch undiagnosed vision problems. Not only can untreated vision problems lead to learning difficulties, they can also jeopardize your children’s eye health—catch vision problems now to prevent serious, irreversible damage.

One of the numerous vision conditions that can affect your child’s development and learning is short sightedness or myopia. It has become increasingly common amongst children and is one of the primary reasons why many kids find it hard to read the blackboard. Farsightedness, Astigmatism, and Tracking problems are other potential problems. Your Eye Doctors assessment can expose these conditions that may occur without any obvious symptoms and ensure your child’s eyes are healthy and ready for the best school year yet!

MyVisionCalgary optometrists take special delight in applying their years of experience treating children, providing a comfortable experience that your kids just might brag about to their friends.

Please help us share this with other parents getting there kids ready for school on Facebook.
