Playdate Update..Late!

I'm going to be showing up a little late tomorrow because I have to drive out to Woodland to sign papers on our new house. Yes, we're moving to Woodland in a couple weeks.

We had to find a new home with more room for our pack of doodley dogs to play in. I just can't believe I actually have a pack of dogs.. but lets call it what it truly is. Right?

I have 3 medium to large sized dogs who are all under a year old.Talk about explosive energy reserves. They got em.

So, we'll be a little late. We'll probably make it out there around 2pm-2:30 so if you'd like to wait that'll be great but if you can't I totally understand. I'll still have to bring them out for a run either way but I'd love to have some our doodle friends join us..

We've been working on the walk lately trying to perfect the heel. Which is incredibly difficult with three dogs. Even when we have three people to walk them together it's still difficult because they feed off each others energy.

I took them all out today on individual walks and it went well, it's very interesting to see how they each react when they're not in the pack. They're all so completely different when they're alone.

Eventually I need to be able to walk them all together. This may take some time. I think I need to call the dog whisperer. Haha!
Ok, hope to see some of you tomorrow at the park..

Do-It-Yourself Grooming

I have to give all three of my doodle dogs a bath the minute we get home from our weekly trip to the dog park. Especially in the winter time and since I could never afford to pay someone everytime. I'm always looking for high quality and hopefully inexpensive grooming products.
I've used several different kinds now and a few of my favorites are listed below if your interested...

Shampoos:

Provides Antibacterial And Antifungal Agants For Optimal Therapeutic Effectiveness. For Dermatological Conditions Associated With Infections Responsive To Miconazole Ni Malaseb Shampoo
Provides antibacterial & antifungal agents - Miconazole nitrate 2% & chlorhexidine gluconate 2%.

Our Goldendoodle suffers from periodic yeast infections in his ears and paws. Which turns his paw fur a reddish color. I talked to a vet who pointed this out to me. I took him off all grains and tried this shampoo. While I wash most of his body with non-allergenic shampoo...I lather up those yeast areas well with Malaseb (letting it sit for 5 minutes) and always see immediate improvement...seems to also do a great job at neutralizing that yeast odor. They offer a spray for maintenance, but I've found it best to just lather up a cloth and do a spot wash in between full baths.
Excellent product.

If you don't really need medicated shampoo then I also recommend trying Earth Bath Products, the Cain and Able Collection or CLOUD STAR products. Which are all natural products and can all be found online at Amazon.com!
