You are reading our first newsletter of 2010. The newsletter serves as a way for management of The Pollit Bureau to provide information to all interested parties. Whether you have never participated, or have taken many of our previous polls, we thank you sincerely for taking the time to read this. In the very near future, we will be activating many more professional categories to our site. We are also hoping for more participation in the forums. Some sections will be restricted to only those people that have opted in. If you are receiving this newsletter you have already been approved for restricted areas of the site. We have received many complimentary reviews about our gift to the Bureau of the Public Debt. We are encouraging other companies to do the same.
What's in a name?
We intentionally used the name The Pollit Bureau as it sounds the same as the feared governing body of the former USSR. Unlike the former Politburo we intend to use information in an open and transparent way. We collect raw data and make that available to anyone. Opinions are welcomed and not controlled. We want to see polls more open and not manipulated by how an question is asked or who is selectively being targeted to participate in the poll. We feel that if information is open and not distorted, there will not be any more Politburo's created and we can make better and more informed decisions.
