News about the Rangjung Peme Nyingthik Sadhana at A Gathering of Disciples
in Vermont (August 6-8) and Colorado (August 14&15)

During A Gathering of Disciples, Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche will bestow the empowerment for the Rangjung Peme Nyingthik - a practice of the Three Roots contained within one sadhana - and a mind terma of Kyabje Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Khyentse Rinpoche first revealed this terma in Tibet while he was with Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö. The revelation was kept secret and the texts were left at Mindroling monastery and later lost.

Years later in exile in Nepal, Trulshik Rinpoche heard about this practice as he was receiving the oral transmission for the Kangyur from Khyentse Rinpoche and he requested Khyentse Rinpoche to reveal it again. They went to Yangleshö and after seven days of practice, Khyentse Rinpoche revealed the practice for a second time. It has become the main practice for many of His Holiness Khyentse Rinpoche’s disciples. And here we have the chance to receive this directly from Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche himself.

The first day will be the empowerment itself and the second day will be a tsok celebration and full day of practice of the Rangjung Peme Nyingthik, with Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche leading us. During this time a collection of sacred relics from the treasury of Shechen Monastery will be displayed in the shrine room. This will be a rare glimpse and a tremendous blessing to witness.
