Busy this August
August 2010 is quickly slipping by and September is quickly rolling up on us. Looking back at August, I accomplished quite a bit and still have more coming before month’s end. I had numerous balloon shows and parties, created some new promotional material, and have the Centre East Showcase coming up this month.
This month I created the, I love boobies’ balloon figure, to help with a proposal for an association that was raising awareness and finances for the Breast Cancer Society. The company first requested the Pink Panther, but I was trying to broaden their options and see the full potential balloon arts could bring to a venue. However, I made this Pink Panther video to show the client my skills and to reassure them I could actually make the Pink Panther. The client is still weighing their options, but I’m hoping they will lean in my direction.
Getting my nose back to the grindstone and sitting in front of the keyboard is becoming a priority again in my life. Starting in September, I will be committing more time in developing my Facebook fan page. The purpose of the fan page will be to provide information about where, when, and dates that I’ll be making public appearances, along with presenting new marketing material, pictures and videos.

Center East Showcase is on August 31-Sept 1 at the Welcome to North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie. The show focus is for schools and libraries attendees. Cost is $35 if you would like to take in this trade show. Make sure you stop out a booth #106 – that’s me and say “hi”. I would love to meet with my readers in person.
