Detour for Fabric

Due to some construction on County Road 42 there will be a detour in front of the store. A new sewer is going across County Road 42 so the intersection at Concession 8 will be closed from Tuesday, March 2 through Thursday, March 4. You will still be able to get to the store from the Walker Road direction (local traffic only) but you will have a short detour if you are coming from the east. Just follow the signs and when you get back to County Road 42 turn back east (right) to get to the store.

Block of the Month

Block of the MonthAs you know our current block of the month project is coming to an end. The last block will be ready the first week of March. We have a few of the fabrics in stock if you'd like to purchase a bit for finishing. If you've already purchased a finishing kit all you'll need is the backing and batting. We have several extra wide backing fabrics in stock and more to come, and of course we have lots of different batting options. We have a new polyester batting called Dream Puff - lovely, low loft and beautifully consistent.

And … Our next Block of the Month is scheduled to start in May. This one features a different star block each month done in a monochromatic colour scheme. Each month the kit will include the pattern for the block and fabrics to complete the 12" block plus matching fabric to frame the block. This series of blocks will finish at 16". Our plan is to keep this series going as long as we can find star blocks to make, so if you really want 15 or 20 blocks instead of the traditional 12 this will work for you. Stars in candy colours - we call it Starburst!
