Shop Hop
Join us for our 9th annual Windsor/Essex County Shop Hop Friday, May 28 9:30–8:00pm and Saturday, May 29 from 9:30–5:30. Participating shops this year are - A Stitch in Time in Leamington, Rose Cottage Quilt Shoppe in Amherstburg and QC in Windsor.
Pick up your passport at the first shop and get it stamped at each shop for a chance to win the grand prize - $100. gift certificate and a $35.00 class voucher from each shop. 3 second prizes too! We have goody bags for the first 250 quilters. For more details and maps please visit shophop.ca
Local Quilt Shows
St. Matthews Church, 1600 Norfolk Ave. in South Windsor is having a quilt show on June 5 from 1:30 - 4:30. The theme is "What direction did your quilt take".

We now have Down Under Quilts – call if you'd like us to hold one for you. We also carry Quilting Arts, Quilter's Connection, and Quilts & More. Unfortunately, QuiltMania is no longer available.
Now available: Beautiful drop-leaf cutting table made locally. Opens out to 82 1/2" x 36". Folds down to store at about 20½" x 36". Open one leaf or both depending on how much cutting space you need.
Classes
Enjoy classes in our spacious classroom with lots of table space, two oversize ironing boards, design wall, great teachers, and good company. Whether you come with someone you know or venture in on your own, you are sure to make new friends, learn new skills, and have a great time! By the way, if you need to cancel a class after registering, you can get a full refund up until one week before the first class.
Bargello Strips Runner

Another of Olga's monthly techniques classes. This is a condensed version of the daytime class. You'll learn bargello basics and get a good start on your runner.
Tulip Bells Table Runner

Put some tulips on your table with this beautiful runner featuring curved dimensional piecing. This runner is approx. 42" x 16" and after you learn the technique you could make a matching wall hanging or a cuddle quilt or whatever size pleases you.
Michelle's Summer Garden

Fibre Artist Michelle Dobrin joins us again for a day of creative fun. Plan on making two different pictures to hang, one ready to frame and another mounted on a stretched canvas. Start with some silk flowers and coordinating fabrics for the vase and background. Add some decorative stitching on top and you'll be amazed at what you can create.

Learn to Quilt

Level: All sewers welcome
Make a lap quilt or a single in this class. Learn how to use the tools properly and sew it all together with accurate seams. You'll learn how to measure properly, construct your quilt and sandwich it and then how to quilt and add a double fold binding with mitered corners. You'll have a quilt you'll be proud to show off and the skills you need to make another one too!
Something from Selvage

Make a trivet like this one or cut it up into 4 good sized coasters. Our ($15.00) kit will include the backing fabric, binding, batting and a selection of selvages. This class is just before sit & sew and you're welcome to stay for the day, it's addictive and you'll want to make many more fun things with selvages!

Hand Quilt

Spend a relaxing afternoon learning how to get started with hand quilting. Donna will show you how to mark your quilt, sandwich it , hoop it and get started on a good "rocking" stitch. Our kit includes fabric, batting, thread and template to get you started on a quilted pillow top or wall hanging.

Learn how easy it is to make this complicated looking log cabin quilt. Jeannie will show you how to use Marti Michell's log cabin ruler and how to stack your fabrics so that you're always using the next strip on the top of the pile. You'll love how it goes together. This beautiful quilt is foundation pieced using the Mariner's Compass pattern by Little Bits. Finished size is 35" square. In the first class Yvette will show you how to use the foundation piecing pattern and in the second class you'll put it all together. It's a beauty whatever your colour choice. Sketches of Spring

Sketches of Spring is a kitted quilt that finishes at 56" square. It would make a lovely wall hanging or couch quilt. The colours are beautiful. The kit includes everything you need to make this quilt top and Heather will walk you through the construction including some strip piecing and finishing with mitered borders.
