TAX-AND-SMEAR MURPHY REACHES NEW LOW, WOMEN4BALL RESPOND

 

In her perpetual effort to distract the voting public from her tax-and-spend record as Somers Supervisor, Tax-and-Smear Murphy has once again shot herself in the foot by allowing her Albany puppeteers to mishandle her campaign, feed her misinformation, and put words in her mouth.

 

Jen Danzi, the Chairwoman of Victory Cup and a member of Women4Ball, has been working one-on-one with donors for the Victory Cup, to be held on September 19 at Greenwich Polo Club, with tickets beginning at just $50, and says there is no misconception about the event.

 

"After reading the latest attempt to smear Greg Ball, I am confident that the Albany insiders have no shame and no limits to what they will release," Danzi said. "The Victory Cup is advertised and clearly labeled as a Women4Ball event to support the Pink Tide Project, an authorized single candidate committee that supports Greg Ball. Women4Ball, an organization that rallied around Greg Ball because we believe in him, believe in his record, and trust him for what he's accomplished, have used our personal contacts to bring together the Victory Cup. She says she's warning the public? Well, I'd like to warn the public that Tax-and-Smear Murphy has raised spending 200% in her town, she raised taxes by 62%, and even raised her own salary by 40%."

 

Lauren J. Pistone, President of Women4Ball, who was recruited by the Tax-and-Smear campaign to be a mouthpiece for attacks against Greg Ball, wonders if donors from the campaigns of Scott Vanderhoef, Marty Golden, and Hugh Farley, as well as the general donors of the Senate Republican Committee, know they are donating to a Tax-and-Smear Campaign. The three Republican Senate candidates have sent $40 Thousand to support the Albany-run Tax-and-Smear campaign from their own campaigns, as reported by the Journal News.

 

"While Greg Ball raises money $5 and $10 at a time from over 1,000 donors, the Senate Republican Campaign Committee has financed and run this campaign, and has funneled $200 Thousand that we know about to this smear campaign that exists just to assassinate Greg Ball's character while avoiding the issues that voters care about," Pistone said. "This campaign should be about property taxes, term limits, and balancing the budget. Instead, the Albany insiders syphoning funds from throughout the state, taking money from candidates in Schenectedy to Brooklyn and everyone in between, wants it to be about confusing the voters with innuendo and manufactured garbage. When donors give to Marty Golden, do they know their money is going to be sent to Albany in an attempt to sabotage the opportunity for the Republican Party to reclaim the Senate majority and reclaim New York?"

 

"I'm proud of all the women who have come together to put together the Victory Cup," Donna Shkreli, Treasurer of Pink Tide Project, said. "The only person who should be ashamed in this whole scenario is our opponent, whose strategy from the beginning has been to sling mud and now engage in schoolyard namecalling. Now she's trying to play the gender card, like women are somehow second class citizens? At the Primary, she'll learn that the voters have rejected her strategy and her message. Over the last month, Women4Ball has held rallies outside the offices of Tax-and-Smear Murphy to expose her smear campaign tactics, as well as to expose the backroom efforts of the men who run her campaign from Albany and from inside the local Westchester political machine. The Albany insiders running the Tax-and-Smear Campaign have spent over $200 Thousand on a baseless smear campaign against Assemblyman Greg Ball, a smear campaign that includes months of illegal push polling, smear mailings without a return address or announced committee, and an admitted attempt to hire Ball's former girlfriend Lauren J. Pistone to be a spokeswoman against Ball.
