Special Release

This is a special one-time release for the benefit of bridging communication between Mission Valley Elementary and a Student's Initiative to earn $250,000 for MSJ High School

Meet Mili Parikh, MSJ High School Freshman

Hi, My name is Mili Parikh, and I am a freshman at MSJ.   Since Mission Valley Elementary eventually feeds into MSJ, I thought that this project would be of interest to Mission Valley students and families. I was hoping that you could help spread the news about this project through the Mission Valley Elementary School Association.  Recently, I have entered in the Pepsi Refresh Project - an initiative by the Pepsi Co. that will give out a grant of $250,000 to fund an idea that will help the community.   In April, I submitted an entry to compete and win the grant of $250K for MSJHS: Campus Improvement. There are over a thousand entries submitted to Pepsi Co. and the winning recipient will be decided based on the number of votes an entry receives.

How Can I Help, and How Much Time Will it Take?

Click this link.  Register.  Vote.  Do this once a day for the month of June.  Voting began today, June 1st; Ms. Parikh got the word out quickly and we have an early start.  This morning, the project was ranked 134 out of 1,175.  The top two votes will each get a quarter of a million dollars.

And Just For Fun

We'll track Mission Valley's contribution to her project.  The last time the community asked for help with a similar project, Mission Valley responded and voting accelerated.  We're more than curious about whether we're as engaged up as we seem.  GO BEAVERS!
