Superintendent Covington and his leadership team have submitted their final recommendations for school closures to the School Board.  We join our community in urging the Board to adopt his plan on March 10th.  Months of thoughtful planning and deliberation have been spent in developing an aggressive plan that is both fiscally responsible and comprehensive. The administration has identified a way for our District to allocate its scarce resources and direct its efforts to delivering quality education.  We commend their efforts to move our District forward.  A timely vote from the School Board is necessary to initiate this bold reconstruction and ensure that families, students and staff have time to prepare for the new school year.  Time is a luxury we no longer have.
