There's only four shopping days left until Christmas, and just 10 days to vote for Connecting Bristol's Green ICT website in the European ICT for Energy Efficiency Project Award.  With Carbon Trust funding, Connecting Bristol calculated Bristol's ICT carbon footprint and developed a Green ICT solutions database offering guidance on how to reduce CO2 emissions. The study is the first of its kind, providing a baseline for a city to measure progress in reducing ICT related carbon emissions and a template for others who wish to follow Bristol's lead. Tom Cumberlege the Carbon Trust's Public Sector Manager said "This is a fantastic website and a really useful tool for engaging partners and spreading knowledge. Lots of fun too!" The winner of the award will receive 20000 euro to re-invest in this work.

We have also been busy revamping our blog - ConnectingBristol.org. What have we done? We have restructured the way that information is organised to reflect the big ICT and Digital themes that we are working on, such as Green ICT and Connectivity.  We have also included more ways for you to connect with us, via Twitter, Disqus or our You Tube Channel.  Finally, we have spruced up the design of the blog, which was looking a little tired after four years.
