New Virginia Ameer!
 
After the last seminar, Touched By An Angel, Br. Mobeen Vaid stepped down as Ameer of Qabeelat Nurayn-Virginia and has handed the reigns over to Br. Tariq Islam.

Alhamdulillah, with Br. Tariq Lateef as the MD Ameer and Br. Tariq Islam as the VA Ameer, we now have Qabeelat Tariqayn :)

Abu Amir's Passing

Today, the father of Amir (aka MR), a very active blogger and Nurayn member, has passed away.

Precious Provisions This April!

Insha'Allah, on April 2-4, 2010, Shaykh Yasir Qadhi will be coming to Nurayn to give the highly anticipated single-weekend seminar entitled, "Precious Provisions: The Fiqh of Food and Clothing" at the University of Maryland, College Park!

According to a student from Memphis, "This is the most practical and relevant class especially for the Muslim youth in the West. Sh Yasir was very organized, unbiased, clear to the point, and all the while being very respectful."

Nurayn Scholarships: Our mission is to make AlMaghrib seminars affordable to every member of Qabeelat Nurayn. Scholarships are awarded to students that demonstrate a need for financial assistance. Give your financial excuse a black eye! If you need financial assistance, please apply. If you know someone who could use financial assistance, encourage them to apply.

We have revamped our scholarship system with a new and revised application and new eligibility requirements. Click here to view the Nurayn Scholarship Application.

The deadline is 14 days prior to the start of a seminar, which is March 19, 2010 for Precious Provisions. The earlier one applies, the greater the likelihood of receiving a scholarship.
