ADAM DURITZ OF COUNTING CROWS JOINS TO MAKE FINAL LSMF SHOW EVEN BIGGER

More headliners join the Federici Festival to promote Melanoma Research

LANSDOWNE, Va., October 5, 2009 – The 2009 Loudoun Summer Music Fest (LSMF) final show is upcoming on Saturday October 17 and it keeps getting bigger and bigger.  Rescheduled from mid-September, The Danny Federici Rocktoberfest is happy to announce: Lead singer of Counting Crows Adam Duritz and many other celebrity musicians playing the best of Bruce and the E Street Band, Counting Crows, Blue Oyster Cult and much more.

One thing you can count on for this final show: EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!

This event is all day and is for everyone, from the moon bounces and face painting to the rock climbing wall and other games and activities, it will be nothing short of an amazing time!

The Federici Festival will be an intimate show that you cannot see anywhere else.  The artists will perform the best of their own music as well as many combined performances playing some of Bruce and the E Street bands hits in honor of Danny and his legacy in music and to raise awareness about the dangers of Melanoma.

LMSF executive director and founder, Tracey Parent is thrilled with how the Music Fest is wrapping up in 2009, “This couldn’t be a better end to this abridged Summer Music Series and we are honored that so many big names are coming to support the cause and to rock here in Loudoun County!”

Parent concluded, “This event is about amazing music by talented artists in an intimate atmosphere you cannot get anywhere else. It’s also about family fun, raising awareness of melanoma and a tribute to Danny Federici who lost his life to the disease in 2008.”
