THE LATEST FROM THE STUDIO THIS PAST MONTH...
It's been a great summer and for me and I hope it's been a great one for you too. After lots of time off with friends and family I'm back in the studio and ready work with you for all your illustration needs. Below are just some of the latest illustrations I've had the pleasure to work on in recent months...

Got to get away | Indianapolis Monthly
Lately I've been doing regular illustrations for a column in Indianapolis Monthly. I also do a bimonthly job for another client and I love getting the chance to work within a regular structure and learn to find the right tone and style that fits the stories best. The illustration above was for a story about a not so good vacation that included mountains, a cabin and goats.

Getting down to earth | Indianapolis Monthly
For a story about one man's love of all things mulch.

Twist and shout | Indianapolis Monthly
For a story about a wife forcing her husband to go to yoga with her.

Pillow talk | Indianapolis Monthly
For a story about being bashful to talk about mattresses.

Oil Spill (pie in the face)
Here's a self-initiated illo about the Gulf oil spill. Uncle Sam hasn't been having a very good time lately.

You Name It | New Parent Magazine
For an article about the name your child will carry with them for the rest of their life. With this one I thought it would be funny to show how certain names come with certain ideas of who the person might be. Looking at it now, I kinda think "Luc" should maybe have a lightsaber instead of a baguette.
Thanks!
Ryan
