Issue 4: December 2009
Spotlight on: Irish Wattle's year ahead Irish Wattle's first year has been an exciting and busy one, with the release of The Irish Vanguard and Pat Moore's Swamp, the opening of our online shop, and the opportunity to meet researchers as keen as we are to trace our early Irish convict arrivals!
In 2010 we'll be shining the spotlight on the early rebels transported to New South Wales and publishing three new books – one on the Irish contingent of convicts who arrived aboard the Kitty in 1792; one on life in the Mudgee, NSW, area in the 1830s to 1860s; and of course, later in the year, our anthology of the convicts transported on the Minerva.
And we're excited about the database that we're currently developing, where you will be able to download demographical reports on the early Irish ships, and many other terrific features.
Phew! Who said it was the holiday season!
