Lee Anne's Lyrics
It’s been a while since I last sat down and put pen to paper (so to speak!) and it’s not because I didn’t want to. Call it writer’s block – although I’m hardly a writer, or mental fog (of which there has been a lot), or just not inspired enough to warrant writing anything…either way my focus has been off.
There have been a lot of changes happening in my life and in the lives of everyone all around us, and most certainly some palpable changes in our society and economy. It’s hard not to be affected by the negativity and uncertainty of these times that’s for sure. Time and again I have to say it though… it’s all about what you focus on!! If we focus on the negative, we only see the negative, and the more we attract into our life. If you’re like me I sometimes have to get to a certain point of suffering before I will open my eyes and ask for help (Great Universe is whom I usually yell at in these times!) and then re-focus on what it is that I really want instead of what I don’t want.
This “shift” in focus has shown up so powerfully in my life over the last few months I just find it amazing how clearly I am shown that I am the creator of my life! When something isn’t working in our outer lives it’s so natural to complain about it and suffer and suffer and yet, when we suffer enough we simply change it. We change our focus, we say enough is enough, and we find another way or another solution. So my question to you (and the most significant question to myself) is this: WHY SUFFER AT ALL? My challenge to you for the end of the year and going into 2010 is to become an ACTIVE CREATOR of YOUR LIFE! Write down what it is that you really want. For December it might be to “Keep my stress level down” or “ not over indulge over the holidays”. When you’re writing them “FEEL” the happy and excited and uplifted emotions when you think about actually attaining them. And then take action towards those goals! We all know nothing happens magically but with pure intention and action steps towards that goal you will move forward each and every day and the journey to that goal will be more evident and fulfilling because you actively took part in it. If you’ve made the decision to stay healthy through out the holidays ask yourself, when you’re reaching for that second desert, “is this in-line with my goal?” If you have some free time and can either sit and watch tv or go for walk or to the gym…ask yourself “What would bring me closer to my goal?” If you hit a roadblock don’t give up and say, “Now I’ll never make it!” Today is another day. Sit down, re-write that goal; maybe it looks a little different now and that’s ok. Again FEEL those emotions, make an active firm decision that this is what you want and this is what you’re prepared to do to get there, and then start movin’ and shakin’! Happy Creating!!! With love, admiration, and inspiration, Lee Anne

Holiday stress less tips 1. Breathe. Taking a few deep breaths will help stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest instead of fight or flight) and it can help decrease the levels of cortisol - a stress hormone - in your body.

2. Get organized ahead of time. Figure out who and what you want to buy. Figure out what you want to bake and serve for entertaining and the ingredients you need. 3. Make a list. Just like Santa he needs to know what gift goes to who - follow the example of this age old fella' and make your list too. 4. Plan your outing. To save time and wasteful back and forth traveling plot your route and the stores you need to visit along the way. Bring your list of who you're buying for in each store. Bring your black cloth bags to the grocery store so you can grab your baking supplies on the way home. 5. Don't be in a rush. Give yourself plenty of time. Put some nice holiday music on (Elvis's Christmas is my favourite) and enjoy the journey! :)
Favourite things At The Healing Oasis we just tried possibly our favourite hand soap ever! Of course its from Bath and Body Works…their Festive Vanilla and Fig.

And I have to admit I am devouring the new scented candle I picked up from Bradford Greenhouse….Tibetan Sandalwood.
