The largest online wine tasting in history took place this past Saturday in celebration of the wines of Napa Valley producer St Supéry. To say that the wines were well received would be a gross understatement. During the two hour event a few hundred tasters from all over the world tasted through five of St Supery's top selections and sent out over 1000 updates across the TasteLive.com and Twitter networks. We can safely estimate that the updates met the eyes of over one million people!
A large group of extremely knowledgeable wine bloggers, wine makers, industry pros and passionate consumers could quite possibly be the best judge of quality ever. Don't get me wrong, The Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator and the rest of the mainstream press have their place, but the flaw is that the reviews are derived from one persons opinion. No matter how unbiased one claims to be, at the end of the day they have their preferences which might be far different than yours. This is the inherent problem with relying solely on 90+ scores. A 90 doesn't mean you will like the wine!
A large group which is unbiased and freely sharing their opinions? Totally different story. The wines from St Supéry were rock stars this past Saturday and today we're going to highlight two selections that we and hundreds of others across the world believe are worth your purchase.
2008 Sauvignon Blanc: This was the first wine of the evening and a perfect start to the night. The wine is fresh and writhes with classic Sauvignon Blanc character and is an incredible value for estate grown Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc.

2004 Cabernet Sauvignon: High quality Napa Valley Cabernet just doesn't come at this amazing price! For just $28 you are serving yourself up truly world class Cabernet!
