TOP SPOT FOR GROWN UPS

Grown Ups, the new buddy-comedy starring Adam Sandler and Chris Rock shot straight to the top of the UK Box Office last weekend.

The film, which follows five former school friends who reunite after 30 years at the funeral of their high school basketball coach, took £2m between Friday and Sunday.

This is the best opening result for an Adam Sandler or Kevin James film, beating both Click (£1.8m) and Paul Blart: Mall Cop (£1.3m).
CLASH OF THE TITANS 2

CLASH OF THE TITANS SEQUEL FULL 3D

Warner Bros. has confirmed that Jonathan Liebesman, the director of ‘The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning’ and ‘The Killing Room’, is to direct the sequel of the hit action movie; Clash of the Titans.

The sequel will reportedly start production as early as 2011 and be filmed in 3D instead of being converted during post-production like the first movie. David Leslie Johnson and Dan Mazeau will team up to write the screenplay for the upcoming epic movie.

The Hollywood Reporter speculates that Sam Worthington and Gemma Arterton are among the actors expected to return for the second installment.
LITTLE FOCKERS

HOFFMAN NOW STARRING IN LITTLE FOCKERS

Six new scenes featuring Dustin Hoffman will be filmed next month for the latest in the Focker movie franchise; Little Fockers. Hoffman will reprise his role opposite Barbra Streisand much to the delight of Meet the Focker fans.

Aside from Hoffman and Streisand, Little Fockers stars series regulars Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, Blythe Danner and Owen Wilson, plus newbies Jessica Alba, Laura Dern and Harvey Keitel.

Little Fockers is out on general release in the UK on Christmas Eve.
