The second annual Bash at the Brewery will feature performances by Bob Schneider,
Texas Tornados, Band of Heathens, the Bluebonnets, Dale Watson, Hacienda
and one lucky band picked by Lone Star fans. Music enthusiasts can enter a sweepstakes online at www.LoneStarBeer.com or
by mail by August 31 to register for the chance to win tickets to the Bash at the Lone Star Brewery as well as other prizes.
A total of 750 pairs of general admission tickets, 25 pairs of VIP tickets and 15 autographed Lone Star guitars will be awarded
randomly as part of the sweepstakes. Texas bands interested in playing at the Bash can submit audio or video content online at www.LoneStarBeer.com now until August 2.
Lone Star fans will be called on to pick their favorite act to perform at the Bash. The winner will be announced on September 1.
The concert will also showcase the restoration project of the first modern brewery in the state of Texas,
which is being revitalized by developers as a modern living space.

THE AZTEC THEATRE

On the River Walk, the newest things are actually old.
One of those is the 1926 Aztec Theatre, with decor suggesting an exotic fantasy Aztec world.
The theater, at street level in the Aztec on the River complex, originally showed silent movies and presented stage shows, then made the transition to talkies.
It closed in 1989. The historic theater reopened last year, its original splendor restored and an enormous Iwerks Extreme Screen showing several movies each day.
For the next six months or so, those will be Adrenalin Rush, Mystery of the Maya and Bugs!

The first show opens at 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
Adults, $10; military and 55 or older, $9; ages 4 through 12 years, $7; students, $8.
Discounts for two back-to-back movies or movie and river barge cruise combo.
