Hi,
We have a great topic at the Wellington .Net User Group this Wednesday (the 1st December).
Also check out below for details of the final user group meeting of the year.
The event will be at the usual place: Xero, Level 1, Old Bank Arcade, 98 Customhouse Quay, Wellington from 6pm on the 1st December.
Hold tight- here comes the blurb...

LINQ to Async: An Introduction to the Reactive Extensions
In a world of parallel and distributed computing, a program may have to encompass multiple threads, processes or machines, and deal with unpredictable data flows such as messages or service requests. LINQ provides a unified, abstract way of working with synchronous data from a variety of sources, but how can you use it handle the more complicated world of asynchronous, unpredictable data streams? And what new techniques and possibilities does a unified ‘LINQ to Async’ API open up?

The last .net user group meeting of 2010 will be on the 15th December, Nic Wise (@fastchicken) will be presenting on MonoTouch and MonoDroid for those interested in getting into mobile development. This event will not have catering, instead it has been proposed that we go for some food after the user group to a nearby bar (nothing too expensive), please RSVP if you'd like to come for a meal so I can get numbers together.
