New Bible Study to Begin

American Red Cross Blood Drive - January 9, 2010
We are scheduled to have an American Red Cross Blood Drive at Christ community UMC on Saturday, January 9.  Appointments can be scheduled from 9:30 am to 2:15 pm.  There is only one week left to sign up for appointments. We can accommodate walk-ins, but to ensure adequate staffing, we need as many people as possible to schedule their appointments ahead of time.

Our goal is set for 50, which means we can schedule 70 donors.  Please spread the word in your workplace, neighborhood, kickboxing class, and quilting circles!  We are also still in need of volunteers for the afternoon; fill out this form to help with that.  If you have already offered to volunteer, you will get a reminder call/e-mail this week.

Church Membership Class
Our next church membership class will begin on Sunday, January 10th at 3:30 pm.  We will meet for about an hour for 6 – 8 weeks.  All adults and youth grade 6 and up are welcome to join us.  More mature 5th graders are also welcome.  If you are interested in exploring membership with Christ Community, please fill out this form.

Community Garden
The Trustees are planning to have a community garden this year.  Items harvested would go to local food needs.  Don Gillaspie will be preparing the garden site with lime and compost.  In order to determine how big of an area he should prepare, he needs to know how many people are willing to adopt a row – plant, weed and harvest.  If you are interested in participating, please fill out this form.
