In 148, Pip Moyer and Zastrow Simms were the top high school athletes in their segregated schools in Annapolis, Maryland, where blacks and whites lived side by side, but federal laws kept them from eating in the same restaurants, attending the same schools, even going to the same beaches. As their lives crisscross over six decades, what emerges is a life-long friendship full of humor, compassion and heart beak that realizes the vision of a truly united America.

Comcast On Demand - ATL365 Recommends Oscar ® Edition INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS

It's been 15 years since PULP FICTION was nominated for 7 awards, including Best Picture, and Best Director for Quentin Tarantino at the 1995 Oscars ®. Tarantino's newest film, an enthralling--often funny--revisionist take on both classic WWII men-on-a-mission films and history itself, and also a rumination on film and filmmaking, INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS has been nominated for 8 awards at the 2010. Even if you're not a member of the cult of Tarantino, check out this film that includes an incredible performance by Christoph Waltz (nominated for Best Supporting Actor) and one of the most tense Openings for a WWII film you'll ever see. THAT EVENING SUN (2009 ATLFF) UA TARA, 2345 Cheshire Bridge Road NE Meticulously directed by first-time helmer Scott Teems...the movie is filled with complex emotions and a powerful poignancy, it often manages to be darkly funny, thanks to Holbrook's wily, unsentimental portrayal under Teems' smartly calibrated hand. - Gary Goldstein, Los Angeles Times

TRAINING RULES (2009 ATLFF, 2009 Pink Peach Award) "The film is Dee Mosbacher's up close analyzation of Penn State's women's basketball team. Running time is less than an hour, but the feature easily packs more punch than movies running three times that length. . . . Easily a piece that could be used in any high school classroom demonstrating the importance of acceptance and tolerance when it comes to sexuality in sports, this gem is worth seeking out." - Jim Teti, NBC Philadelphia
