Your responses, and your general comments about the survey itself will be used to develop council's Environment and Sustainability Strategy. This strategy will include measurable actions and targets to improve council's environmental bottom line in the areas of:

-transport
-sustainable purchasing

Dog off-leash times at Wanda Beach
In April 2010 council conducted a review of the dog off leash times at Wanda Beach. YSYS panellists provided a large response via the online survey. As a result, council has proposed a 12 month trial period of new dog off leash times at Wanda. Find out more…
 
Infrastructure Levy Consultation
After considering feedback received from the community during the consultation, Sutherland Shire Council resolved to ask the Minister for Local Government for a 4 per cent infrastructure levy to enable major maintenance and upgrades to the Shire's ageing infrastructure. Read more...
 
Voluntary Planning Agreement at Kurnell
An agreement was reached by land owners, Australand, Breen Holdings and Sutherland Shire Council for a proposed rezoning of 128.6 hectares of land at Wanda Beach. Read more…
