3 Bible Tips: Who Is God Calling?
1. Being called first is not a sign of having done anything great.
"For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence" (1 Corinthians 1:26-29).
2. God extends His calling to the children of those He calls.
"For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call" (Acts 2:39).
3. Eventually God plans to call everyone to repentance.
"The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).
