Sign up to participate in the next Community Design/Build project working with the Montpelier Parks Commission to create a unique, innovative, and universally accessible composting toilet structure for Hubbard Park. Students will work with the client and needs of the project, propose design, and construct the structure during the 12 day class starting August 1.

We are excited to announce the arrival of the 2010/2011 Fall/Winter catalog for classes through April. Be sure to check out some of our new offerings in addition to the return of our most popular courses. Summer Lecture Series Continues
Our Summer Lecture Series continues through July each Wednesday at 7PM. This month's lectures kick off July 7 with Gunnar Hubbard discussing past cool green projects and the Charles Shackletonopportunities for change in creating sustainably built environments. Urban design/builder, Simon Hare, will examine the transformation of a historical cottage into an energy efficient example of Passive House methodology on July 14. The following week Danny Sagan will reflect on the history, inspiration, and innovative approaches to architecture that emenated from Warren, Vermont's design/build community. Charles Shackleton, co-owner of ShackletonThomas, will be here on July 28 to illustrate how the process of creation influences the feel of a product through his woodworking. Welcome to Our New Interns
This week we welcome our two new design/build interns Tonia Chi and Annie Murphy to Yestermorrow. At the same time we want to thank Erin Smith and Rob Maddox for the dedicated work they have provided throughout their internship and wish them the best of luck on their next endeavors. If you are interested in learning more about our 6 or 12 month internship program and gaining first hand design/build experience, click here.

Instructor Profile: Lizabeth Moniz
Lizabeth Moniz has been working in the building tades off and on for the last 20 years. She has also been a staple aLizabeth Monizt Yestermorrow, teaching a variety of classes, such as natural building and various carpentry classes over the past 10 years. Outside of YM, she has taught in various capacities including Step-Up, Women Build, public schools, experiential education and wilderness guiding, Youth Build and the Peace Corps. Lizabeth holds an MA in Landscape Design from the Conway School of Landscape Design. Check out her upcoming course, Intro to Landscape Design starting August 6, and learn to assess sites and design lanscapes inspired by the natural world.
