Hello there!
Now we know we shouldn’t have favourites – but we can’t help it! You’re one of our favourites because you like to come and support new and contemporary Irish writing, such as Mark O’Rowe’s Terminus, Enda Walsh’s Penelope and The New Electric Ballroom and Martin McDonagh’s Beauty Queen of Leenane, here at the Palace.
And speaking of favourites: next week, one of our favourite theatre companies Gúna Nua (whose award winning show Little Gem you’ll remember from earlier this year) bring their brand new show Chicane, an explosive thriller written by one of Ireland’s finest actors Anthony Brophy, to Cork.
Chicane is packed with suspense, action and deceit; a diamond-edged thriller that treads a tightrope of revenge and redemption; a darkly comic whodunit with more twists and turns than a rollercoaster, Chicane will keep you on the edge of your seat and entertain you like no other play.

‘The most successful Irish Theatre company of the moment.’– Irish Independent
’One of Ireland’s most original, even radical companies.’– Sunday Tribune
Chicane opens at the Everyman Palace Theatre on Monday September 13th and runs until Saturday September 18th.
Tickets:€25 / €20 conc., opening night €15 and €7 student ticket (Mon-Wed)
We think the future is bright for Irish theatre with thrilling shows like this on offer, but don’t take our word for it – why not judge for yourself?
