Celebrating our 10th Anniversary!
In celebration of our two concert tours to the United Kingdom (the Edinburgh Easter Festival 2004 and London Music Festival 2009) in the last ten years, we bring you a concert full of music from the heart of the Celtic tradition! Several pieces in this concert were composed/arranged specifically for the American Youth Harp Ensemble including the beautiful concerto When Twilight Falls by Laura Zaerr (premiered in 2004 with the Richmond Symphony) and the beloved Danny Boy/The Young Man's Dream arranged by Grainne Hambly and William Jackson. The latter of which was specifically created for the AYHE as featured artists on our public radio affiliate's WCVE Danny Boy Project (http://ideastations.org/dannyboy) CD set to debut on St. Patrick's Day, 2010!

Fun fact: William Jackson, the Scottish harpist who co-arranged Danny Boy, also wrote "Land of Light" which won the international competition in 1999 as the new song for Scotland, announced on the eve of that Parliament was convening for the first time in 300 years.
