The 24th March concert marked the launch of the exciting partnership between LCO and Barnardo’s. Pupils from the schools and Barnardo’s services taking part in ‘Music Junction’ projects came together to experience LCO ‘from the inside.’ Pupils tried instruments mentored by LCO musicians, sat inside the orchestra during the rehearsal and visited the recording truck.
Music Junction is a ground breaking project which commences in Autumn 2010, bringing together children from diverse backgrounds in musical activities. If you would like more information or would like to support Music Junction please contact Coral coral@lco.co.uk | 020 3318 2982.
Wednesday 26 May, 6pm - Please note new start time
Come and hear the six selected compositions ‘Inspired by Architecture’. Two of the young composers will be awarded a Sibelius 6music composition software or masterclasses with composer Diana Burrell.
Tickets free, but booking is required. No booking required for ticket holders of 7.30pm concert.

10/11 season - LCO's 90th Birthday
LCO’s 90th year begins with a concert at St. John’s, Smith Square on Thursday 30 September featuring the pianist Alexander Romanovsky in aid of Helen & Douglas House, generously supported by Countess Yoko Nagae Ceschina.
If you witnessed Maria João Pires performing Beethoven piano concertos with her young protégés the Dutch brothers Arthur and Lucas Jussen in 2008 you will be pleased to know that the brothers have been asked to return and perform again.
Since you are already on our mailing list you will be amongst the first to receive more information about the 10/11 season but do feel free to get in touch in the meantime.
Support LCO
As an orchestra that does not seek public subsidy we are always looking for new ways of encouraging support for LCO. If you would like to get personally involved in helping to keep LCO on the platform or have any ideas or contacts that you believe might be helpful please give us a call.
LCO Groups
If you are intending to bring a group of ten or more people to an LCO performance at St. John’s next season and are not already on our Group list then it will certainly be worth getting in touch to find out about our Group booking offers.
