Do you enjoy taking your dog out with you?  Do you wish there was a single place where you find pet-friendly events just in North Lake County?  We do too ... so we are starting a monthly email with the date and time of the events in our area. Each month we will also personally visit and review an event or a dog park. 
 
This first issue has everything we are aware of but we're sure it's incomplete.  This is where you can help.  Please let us know of events we've missed, details we don't have or a dog park near your.  Please email Sadie, our roving reviewer, with the event information or address of any event or park you would like reviewed.  

Sadie's Ramblings
North Lake Community Park
40730 Roger Giles Road, Umatilla, FL
Hours 6:30 am to 8:30 pm
On a Sunday evening, I visited North Lake Community Park in Umatilla.  This off leash park is huge with tons of room to run.  My friends who enjoy fetch could have an awesome time here.  There are 4 doggie waste stations and I would suggest your parents grab a bag or two when you first arrive because the next station is quite a distance from the gate.  A couple of shaded bench areas are available for your parents in case they get tired.  This park is also BYOW, bring your own water.  There are no water stations which can be good or bad depending on your point  of view.  I know my sister Daisy gets quite messy when she finds water - this is why we are only allowed to ride in the "old" car.  This park is one large open area so small and large dogs are together.  All in all, I had a wonderful time visiting this park and look foward to my next visit.  Photos of my trip are posted on our Facebook page if you are interested.
