Yoga for You!
Yoga is great to stretch & lengthen muscles for improved flexibility, improve balance, and strengthen your core. All of these are important for a healthy body and SUPER important for a dancer's body! We highly recommend the practice of yoga for all dancers. TDS offers a yoga class on Mondays at 7PM for your convenience. Check it out!
Hip Hop
Hip hop is an energetic dance that utilizes pops, locks, and breaking. It has influenced belly dance, believe it or not! Tribal fusion dancers, such as Zoe Jakes, have fused elements of Hip Hop with belly dance to create their own striking dance style. Try out Hip Hop with Tiff on Mondays at 5:45 to find out what it's all about!

Belly Dance - Intermediate 1.5
Why 1.5, you ask? Because it's beyond a mere intermediate class, of course! This class focuses on props, such as zils, sword, & veils, combined with intermediate moves. Nothing is cooler than a fabulous dancer, except maybe one with a sword on her head... or one zilling like mad while executing difficult choreo... or one swirling a veil around in fabulous patterns. :-) Mimi teaches Intermediate 1.5 Belly Dance on Wednesday nights at 8:15. Do not fear her or her class, for they are both awesome!
Who Can Be a Dancer?
Anyone can, regardless of age, gender, or body type - as the array of TDS teachers shows. Our teachers range in age from 20's to 50's, and if we do say so ourselves we are all excellent dancers. :-) We also cover a wide range of weights, body types, AND both genders! We believe that anyone who wants to can learn to dance. Physical disabilities can always be worked around as well. So if you have always wanted to dance but thought you couldn't, come and give it a try. You too can move to the music!
