Blackberry Emails

Hey Blackberry users - are you still getting your emails and messages all in one place on your phone? If it's easier to keep them organized separately there's a simple way to do it. In your messages click on the "menu button" to bring up the different choices. Choose "options" and you'll be taken to a new screen for "Messaging Options." Then select "general options"  - there will be a heading for "Display" near the top with multiple items that you can configure. You want to select "SMS and Email Inboxes" and choose "Separate." This will create separate icons for your SMS/MMS and Email rather than putting them together in the same place.

Did you know you can also configure how the Blackberry and your email sync together? In the same "Messaging Options" panel you can choose "Email Reconciliation" and decide where messages will be deleted (such as only the handheld or also in your mailbox) and whether your phone or your mailbox wins for reconciling differences. There are many other options you can configure for email on the Blackberry - including email filters, auto-signatures, out-of-office replies, and spell check.

Phone Web Browsing

Any smart-phone device will be able to browse the web, but does it work as well as you would like? There are alternatives to the native applications, one of the best for web-browsing is Opera Mini. Opera Mini claims it is the fastest mobile browser in the world and compresses full web pages rather than show you a mobile-version. You can also synchronize your mobile bookmarks and speed-dial to your computer or other mobile phones.
