Welcome to the MODx Newsletter
In which we agree that it is indeed about time. Don't you?
Since 2004, MODx has changed the world one website at a time. We created this newsletter to help people keep up with MODx without having to visit the forums daily. Our newsletters will offer inside scoop, MODx tips, and profiles of regular users and outright rock stars. Starting now:
Happening Now with MODx
A shiny new coat of paint and two releases coming soon.
MODx Revolution, our completely new rewrite of everything MODx, is right around the corner. We've made a ton of progress in recent months and battle tested it in demanding environments including on our main site since the relaunch on March 2. Revolution 2.0.0-beta-1 is ready for testing and we need your feedback!
Similarly, our classic code base is getting a major update. MODx has been a stable release for years, but the pre-1.0 version created confusion with some thinking it was beta. Grab the MODx Evolution 1.0.0-rc1 Release Candidate, make sure your local language is up to date, and let's get 1.0 out ASAP.
A Call for Developers
We need your help to make MODx better.
We need your input and contribution to make MODx the ultimate Content Management Framework. Revolution is actually aptly named and we will be creating a Developer newsletter for folks that want to learn the ins and outs of the code. Get a head start today by visiting our Developer Section, filling out a CLA, and start submitting enhancements, bug fixes and a patch or two to help MODx become the leading PHP web development platform.
Website Update
Please pardon the modxcms.com dust...
If you signed up for this newsletter, you know MODx has a new website. Since relaunching our website in March, we've made additional improvements to our MODx Extras system. Now you can quickly see the Add-ons you submit, view them from A to Z or as a tag cloud, and subscribe to a RSS feeds of the recently added and updated Add-ons.

The MODx team has also spent a ton of time reworking the Made in MODx showcase. Originally a manually updated system, it took all of half a day to completely overwhelm the content crew with submissions. To solve this, we created a custom module to power the new system. Submit sites again at our newly re-launched MODx site showcase.
Are you Satisfied? Let us Know!
Get Satisfaction helps us understand what's important to our website users.
When we redesigned our website we added Get Satisfaction, which we love and highly recommend. The little green feedback tab on every page of our website provides a great way to interact with the MODx tribe for discussing our website and project in general. We are thankful for all the positive feedback, corrections, criticism and suggestions sent to date; please keep it coming!
