An Easy Life      
It occurs to me that most of my oldest friends and myself (and a lot of my readers) chose a harder path than we could have gotten away with.
It was tough at first, but it seems that it eventually paid off, or for some, likely to do so in the the future.
Even though we had no guarantees, we knew what we were doing when we made out choice. And so we went with it. And I'm glad we did.
