Thanks everyone for the huge RSVP response, the Open House is shaping up to be a great day of fun, flying and facts. We have a lot of people, pilots and flying machines in bound so let’s get organized !

Here’s the schedule for the day PLUS driving, flying and hotel info for the Sat June 26th SeaRey LSX Open House:

SCHEDULE

Open House Hours: 9:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Mini Seminars: All 12 seminars repeat all morning.
Questions: Speakers are available for questions all afternoon.

New Seminar Added: Advanced SeaRey Flight Training

New Seminar added: Opportunities in the City of Tavares.

LSX Demos: all day except for lunch hour.

Lunch Time: food served at 12:30, refreshments all day

Spectacle Time: the spectacle will be all day folks… and oh what a spectacle it will be. Feel free to bring your lawn chair, kick back at the lakeshore and take it all in.

What Can You Bring? Nothing… except maybe lawn chairs. If you are driving in bring them along if you can.

DRIVING IN AND PARKING AT THE CHURCH

If you are driving in please note that our parking lot will be closed to vehicles (it will be full of SeaReys!), so our good neighbors at the Mid Lakes Christian Church are letting us use their parking lot for the day. They are right across the street up on the hill. We have a shuttle to get you from the lot and across the highway. It runs all day so please don’t risk the highway traffic we’ll get you there and back.

The church address for your GPS is 3800 State Road 19, Tavares, FL 32778 but note that you will actually have to drive off of SR19 and up N. Eichelburger Road to access their parking lot.

SEAREYS FLYING IN

If you are flying in be forewarned that this Flyin is going to be a busy one, so be safe lads and lasses… heads up and eyes and ears open. This is a small lake with many SeaReys flying in so for the day we will treat this as a runway with a mandatory frequency and a specific traffic pattern.

SEAREY OPEN HOUSE FLIGHT NOTICE TO AIRMEN.

SEAREY PARKING

We have room for 30 SeaRey’s on our ramp, just taxi up the ramp and follow the SeaRey ramp boss, he will get you to your spot. Your SeaRey will not get packed in behind others so you can leave any time you choose, but please, when leaving advise the ramp boss before you start up. If we exceed the ramp space, we’ll let you know by radio and you can beach instead. If we exceed that then land at the Tavares Seaplane Base and we will shuttle you. If we exceed the SPB space then dock at the Sub-Orbital SeaRey Hyperport and we will beam you down.

LAND PLANE FLYING IN

If you are flying in by land plane two good airports close by are Leesburg (KLEE, controlled) and Orlando Apopka (X04, uncontrolled). If you need a ride we can pick you up (by advance appointment only please, call Flore ASAP at 352-253-0108).

So fly in, check it all out, and get yourself a SeaRey... the flyin will be way cooler for you next year.

Advanced SeaRey Flight Training – a team of SeaRey CFI’s are working very hard on an all new SeaRey Amphibious Training Syllabus that will make you safer AND save you money on your insurance. The beginnings of their work will be presented. Welcome John McLeroy, Helen Woods and Greg Burtner.
City of Tavares – the city of Tavares will host a table on their city. Folks, these guys are without a doubt the most proactive city government we have ever encountered… bar none.
